I am only related to the Myers family by various marriages, I have a lot of cousins who, one way or another, tie into the Myers family. I am a retired college teacher, having served as Asst Professor and later as Visiting Lecturer and Program Chair of the LA Tech University Electrical Engineering Technology Program, as Adjunct Instructor for Arizona State University and Louisiana Delta Community College, Instructor of Computer Support in the Business Department of Louisiana Technical College, Delta Ouachita Campus, and as Instructor and Asst Prof of Electrial Engineering Technology at Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, NY. I have been an Amateur Radio Operator ("Ham") since age 16 and a licened pilot since age 21. While serving in the US Navy 1967-1971 I was able to obtain Commecial and Instrument ratings. I have been a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Louisiana Wing, off and on since coming out of the Navy where I was on the aircrew of C-121 Super Constellations at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. I began genealogy and family history study in 1985 after seeing a brief history of the Kersh family that my Aunt Martha Gray-Sanders brought to one of our family reunions, and have been at it steadily ever since, looking at both sides of my family as well as a few off direct lines, such as the Myers, ever since. I even lived in Brandon, Rankin County, MS for a couple of years doing research and meeting distant cousins.
